Hey, looks like this message board is finally getting off the ground! Thanks for submitting your opinion. First off, I would like to say that your theory about kings controlling the Triforce before OoT fascinates me. I have always assumed that, before Ganondorf touched it, no one had ever before used or controlled the Triforce. But now that I've looked back at all the hard facts, I can't find one solitary shred of evidence to disprove your theory. I've thought about this all afternoon, and I've come to the conclusion that, although your theory can't be either proved or disproved based on the known facts, it makes a lot more sense than mine. In fact, I might just have to go back and change my whole site. Thank you for giving me another point of view. With that all said, I still believe that my theory can't be disproved either. It just makes slightly less sense than yours. You tried to prove that the Zelda in OoT isn't the Sleeping Princess, but I've got some counter-arguments for that. I'm not trying to prove that I'm right (I've already stated my doubts in my own veracity), but I want to help clarify some points. First of all, the prince most likely KNEW that Ganon had the Triforce of Power, but that's no reason to make him stop looking. Maybe he sent search parties out to figure out a way into the Dark World. After all, in LttP we find out that many people have stumbled into the Dark World looking for the Triforce, so that is a possibility. Secondly, the Imprisoning War had nothing to do with later events. The ending of OoT shows distinctly that Hyrule was restored back to its original condition, as can be seen by young Princess Zelda peeking into a window in Hyrule Castle. You can read my essay entitled "OoT's Ending" if you want my whole position on this. Last of all, you indicate doubts that Agahnim is a "manifestation of Ganon." I personally believe that Agahnim IS a direct creation of Ganon. I'll summarize my essay, "Who is Agahnim," here. The most solid facts we know about Agahnim is that he is "Ganon's pawn" and that he is Ganon's alter ego. When Link defeats him a second time, Agahnim turns into a bat and flies into the pyramid of power, where Link finds Ganon. I think it is safe to say that Agahnim is not entirely unrelated to Ganon. If you look at Phantom Ganon in OoT, you know that Ganon has the power to create independent beings that do his bidding. I don't think that it is beyond Ganon's power to send a wizard to carry out his bidding in the Light World. As for Impa warning the king, maybe she did. In any case, there are no facts about this, so whatever we argue about this would be pure speculation. I can always claim that Agahnim is a manifestation of Ganon, and that if Impa warned the king he didn't listen. You can claim that Agahnim is not a manifestation of Ganon, and therefore Impa didn't notice and didn't warn the king. Either way, nothing in LttP mentions Impa or if the king was warned or not, so none of this is proof of anything. Thanks for posting. Hope to hear from you again soon. Later!
