Masamune on the Use of Courage

The "Triforce of Courage", unlike the other two has powers different than the other two. While power clearly gives strength and wisdom gives knowledge, courage clearly seems like it would bestow bravery. But bravery without one of the above two is folly. Clearly it would seem to be the weakest of the three and the least desired.

Unless it was the "balance" between the two. Link has always seemed like a mixture of power and wisdom throughout his adventures. Clearly seen in OoT is the fact Wisdom and Power could never do anything to the other without the interference of Courage. With those two against eachother, whichever side Courage would shift to would ultimately be the victor. But there's more than that.
