LoZ2--Deeler.jpg
LoZ2--Deeler.jpgZelda 2 AoL Deeler1454 viewsDeeler no deal! (Ha ha, I tell bad joke!)

Anyway, here's the spider from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link (red version is probably elsewhere)

I used a sprite and some artistic license for this one.

I used the manual art as reference.

LoZ2--Bubbles.jpgZelda 2 AoL Bubble Bunch1355 views*sings* That's the way they became the Bubble Bunch!
(sorry, I couldn't resist the Brady Bunch inside joke)

Anyway, here is the Great Bubble and some lesser bubbles from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. I used sprites as references for the characters, and their location is Great Palace (the final palace). I used VGMaps as a reference there.

LoZ2--Ironknuckle.jpg
LoZ2--Ironknuckle.jpgZelda 2 AoL Ironknuckle1342 viewsIronknuckle, or one of them, from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I used a sprite as the lineart reference, but the color is from the official art.

This one is in Midoro (Swamp) Palace (I used VGMaps.com as a reference here).

LoZ2--Magic_Container.jpgZelda 2 AoL Magic Container1331 viewsThe Magic Container from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Get it and your magic meter increases. You'll need a LOT of Magic to take on the final foes in the Great Palace!

I tried to use a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2_Spell.jpg
LoZ2_Spell.jpgZelda 2 AoL Spell Spell1319 viewsSpell Spell! Pizza Pizza! (Okay, that was a wee bit corny...)

Anyway, Link's used it to turn some tough monsters into wimpy Bots!

Sprites, screenshots, and official art were used as references. See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for why the name of the Spell isn't in the artwork itself.

LoZ2--Acheman.jpgZelda 2 AoL Acheman1201 viewsNa na na na na na na na ACHEMAN!!!

(Oh, come on! Like you didn't see that Batman inside joke coming in a mile away!)

Anyway, here's the red bat monster from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. I used a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2--Moby.jpgZelda 2 AoL Moby1192 viewsThe experience-stealing bird from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I used a sprite as reference for this one.

Take it down before it steals some of your hard-earned EXP!

Link_and_Zelda.jpg
Link_and_Zelda.jpgLink and Zelda1166 viewsLink hugging Zelda from behind (aww). I tried to draw them as they appeared in LttP, and of course some cutesy anime-style art of Zelda and Link were my reference in drawing this.

I know it's a wee bit sloppy--this is an older art style.

LoZ1--Wizzrobe.jpg
LoZ1--Wizzrobe.jpgLoZ1 Wizzrobe1166 viewsNo, it's not Orco from He-Man, it's two kinds of Wizzrobe from Zelda 1.

I used the manual art as reference, and drew two of them, since there were two colors of them.

LoZ2--Bit_and_Bot.jpgZelda 2 AoL Bit and Bot1162 viewsBit and Bot, the two weak blobs from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I used sprites as a reference.

Make great training fodder for starter adventurers, these two.

LoZ2--Treasure_Bag.jpg
LoZ2--Treasure_Bag.jpgZelda 2 AoL Treasure Bag1139 viewsThe Treasure Bag in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

It's kinda bizarre that Zelda 2: AoL is the one of the few Zelda games (if not the ONLY official Zelda game) that has EXP. Anyway, the treasure bag gives you a little extra experience points. Careful, though--some are menacing mimics that hide enemies!

I used a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2--Daira.jpg
LoZ2--Daira.jpgZelda 2 AoL Daira1048 viewsThe axe-wielding gator, Daira, from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link

The redder version of this guy is a pain in the arse, as he can throw his axe! This version (the yellow/orangish) is a bit more tame.

Anyway, I used a mix of the official art and a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2--Octorok.jpgZelda 2 AoL Octorok1034 viewsOctorok in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, and I used a sprite as a reference.

He may look cute, but drop your guard at your own peril! He may be getting a rock ready to spit out!

LoZ2DoomknockerByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Doomknocker1017 viewsDoomknocker, aka Hell Guma, from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Here he is, patrolling the Island Palace.

I used a sprite as a reference here.

LoZ2--Moblin.jpgZelda 2 AoL Moblin1016 viewsMoblin in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, seeking to avenge his master Ganon.

He's a wee bit goofy looking since I used a sprite as a reference.

Anyway, beware of the spear!

LoZ2FokkaByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Fokka1014 viewsFokka, the birdbrained version of Ironknuckle in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. You'll encounter him and his ilk in the final Palace, the Great Palace.

Don't "fokka" around here! (Ha ha, I tell bad joke!)

Anyway, I used the sprite (and some of the official art) as reference here.

LoZ2RopeByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2RopeByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Rope980 viewsRope in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. He's moved out of the labyrinths and now resides in the desert (but sometimes goes to caves too).

I used his Zelda 1 official art as reference--in his sprite, he looks like a Pirahna Plant wannabe.

Navi_the_Fairy.jpg
Navi_the_Fairy.jpgNavi967 viewsUm, admins, let me say in my defense that there are no naughty bits showing, so hopefully I have (pardon the pun) barely stayed within the rules. [When you admins mentioned the "no nudity" rule, I kinda assumed it implied the "naughty bits", but nothing naughty here is showing.]

Anyway, here's Navi the fairy. This is in a much older drawing style, so I know it's not much.

My reference was random fanart of Navi found elsewhere.

LoZ2--Magic_Jars.jpgZelda 2 AoL Magic Jar923 viewsThe two colors of Magic Jars from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Blue one partially refills magic, red one refills magic fully.

I used sprites as a reference.

His design is based off of the official art... but the color is from his in-game sprite.

LoZ2LizalfosByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Lizalfos788 viewsThe lizard warrior from Zelda 2 Adventure of Link. Gale/Geru in Japanese version, but I call him by the English name (whether or not it's official), Lizalfos.

I tried to use a mix of the official art and the sprites for this, but not sure how it turned out.

LoZ2--Ache.jpg
LoZ2--Ache.jpgZelda 2 AoL Ache787 viewsAche, the bat from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I used a sprite as a reference.

And you definitely will "ache" if this bat attacks you a lot!

LoZ1--Gleeok.jpgLoZ1 Gleeok733 viewsThe dragon, Gleeok. In this case, it is (or WAS) three headed. And two of the heads (including the severed one flying about) is missing their mustaches--maybe Link gave them a shave when going for the heads.

Anyway, I used the official art as my reference.
