I took quite awhile to color it, then at the last second applied a crazy effect to it, and it turned into this, which I thought was cool. It looks like an etching in stone that was stained the proper colors or something. He's supposed to be in the zora-tunic but the last-second edit makes it VERY dark. I don't even know if I should think of this to be really good or not, since I did it in quite a rush over three days (only little time on the respective days). The background isn't as detailed as I would have liked, but all in all I guess I have managed to get the effect that I wanted.
The picture truly is a mixed media one. Most of it is colour pencils, some of it water colours and some of it gouache. And then there's this part where the shade has been made with Photoshop... which actually doesn't make it a completely legitimate traditional art piece. But never mind. I wanted to do a piece with Link in the graveyard with ghosts. This was the image I had in mind from the cemetery section of Zelda 1. This took me quite a while to draw at first, I couldn't quite get the pose for link right, so I kept trying different poses when I had free time. Once I finally had the pencils, it took me about a week / week and a half, on and off to Photoshop. The ghosts where somewhat difficult at first becuase the pencils for them were very unsubstantial, I pretty much had to paint them in with Photoshop.
