wolf_link.jpgWolf Link2473 viewsThis was just a short thought of mine. I had seen the E3 trailer for the game and the idea that Link should be transformed into a wolf appealed to me straight away.
I don't even know if I should think of this to be really good or not, since I did it in quite a rush over three days (only little time on the respective days). The background isn't as detailed as I would have liked, but all in all I guess I have managed to get the effect that I wanted.
The picture truly is a mixed media one. Most of it is colour pencils, some of it water colours and some of it gouache. And then there's this part where the shade has been made with Photoshop... which actually doesn't make it a completely legitimate traditional art piece. But never mind. sheik is a man. no doubt. if you want proof, look at the official art of sheik (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/sheik.gif) compared to the official art of zelda (http://zeldad.com/oot/characters/zelda.gif). there is NO way that zelda and sheik are the same person. i think zelda either transforms herself into a man, or takes on the body of a man. zelda's body simply doesn't have hips as narrow as sheik's, shoulders as wide as sheik's, or muscles like sheik's. also, the skin, eye, and hair color completley changes. so, we know the two bodies are completley different. but, you say, "maybe she transforms into another person, but that person could still be female!". if zelda can transform into any person, and she wants to be disguised as a BOY, why would she choose to take the body of another female? the conclusion: sheik is male.

I thought the Vershka would be dressed primarily in brown, as this would be the easiest color to make (no green plants in their land, hence no berries and stuff to dye their clothes), and also because, being the more timid-ish race that they are (they're not cowardly, but they have reasons to want to be hidden from strangers), these sorts of colors would allow them to blend in with their surroundings, as theirs is a very brown and withered land. The 'scarf' around her shoulders can be pulled up to partly hide her face, too.
